Resident Evil Village provides a continuation to the events of Resident Evil 7, once again following the newly minted Resident Evil protagonist, Ethan Winters, as he attempts to rescue his family from some monstrous foes in a mountainous landscape in Eastern Europe. Ethan himself has quickly become a fan-favorite character in the Resident Evil universe, finding a spot among heroes like Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Leon Kennedy, and Village is a great dive into the character's psyche, what makes him tick, and where he came from. Those that enjoyed the events of Resident Evil 7 should find themselves enthralled in the continuation of Ethan's story.
But Resident Evil Village is much more than just a sequel. It's filled to the brim with all sorts of references, story bits, hidden collectibles, and unlockables. The action-heavy release provides a bigger area for players to explore, and the main story will take Ethan through multiple locations in the snowy village. It's easy to get lost in the twisting and turning landscape, and it's easy to miss some items hidden throughout the nooks and crannies of each area. Players that are looking to experience everything possible in Resident Evil Village can use the resources in this directory to help them along.
Updated November 2nd, 2022: The Shadows of Rose DLC has finally dropped, allowing players to make their way through a new adventure as Ethan's daughter, now grown up and more than capable of handling things herself. Players will be able to revisit some of the most iconic areas found in Resident Evil Village, solve new puzzles, and even use some of Rose's unique powers to defeat enemies. The new DLC also added some interesting upgrades for the base game, including a third-person mode, as well as the addition of new characters and challenges in the Mercenaries mode. To celebrate the new (and exciting) Shadows of Rose DLC, the following directory has new sections to help players with both the DLC itself and the additions to the Mercenaries mode.
